Why did ZOK exhibit at the Power-Gen exhibition in Doha this month (October 2010)?

With gas production and economic growth for Qatar forecast to be double digit growth figures for next year and the foreseeable future, and this is why ZOK was exhibiting at Power-Gen Middle East in Doha from the 4th to 6th October. Qatar is growing in importance both within the region and around the globe, given that Qatarand is set to become the largest exporter of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the world with peak production of 77 million tonnes a year. Add to this Qatar’s expected double –digit economic growth this yearthe fact that Qatar is, on track to hit 16 per cent in 2011, this is outstanding and everyand you can see the reasons why ZOK needed to be at the centre of the action.

Significant investment is being made in all the vital utilities in accordance with the Qatar National Plan to be able to sustain the demand for power and loading on other utilities.

Power-Gen Middle East focused on Qatar but also with an eye to other Gulf States and beyond including Jordan as it launches its plans for power generation.

After a couple of tough years, Power-Gen Middle East is anticipating a bounce back in activity, justifying the investment by ZOK. ‘We wanted to be seen by established and potential customers to take a firsthand look at what ZOK has to offer when it comes to keeping their gas turbine compressors at peak performance, to keep up with increasing demand’ said ZOK Chairman, Keith Cartwright.
