At the end of January, ZOK used the Changi Singapore Airshow as the magnet to entice its distributors to attend the Singapore Recreation Club on the Padang for an update on all things new at ZOK.

ZOK distributors came from all around the region and some from as far away as Turkey and the United States. All in all, twelve countries were represented with over forty delegates attending the conference and the subsequent networking opportunities.

The conference kicked off with two presentations from Keith Cartwright the CEO of ZOK. The first was on the benefits that come when a gas turbine is regularly washed with an appropriate ZOK solution. Maintaining the engine at maximum power, using less fuel and producing fewer emissions. Next was a presentation on the new ZOK Gold products. ZOK Gold has been designed and formulated to meet the ever increasing environmental demands for more refined products to clean all types of gas turbines. The audience was told about the compliance of ZOK Gold to the requirements of the Oslo Paris convention that governs products that are used in European and Atlantic sea areas.

General marketing presentations were given by ZOK’s General Manager, Robert Johnson, after the coffee break. This included an update on the Bloodhound project for the attempt to break the land speed record. ZOK will be one of the sponsors, providing the compressor cleaning solutions to ensure the jet engine maintains maximum efficiency throughout the land speed attempt.

After all the intensive concentration, the delegates were rewarded with a ZOK sponsored dinner at one of Singapore’s local Jumbo fish restaurants – where old friends and new colleagues were able to get to know one another a little better.

Tuesday 2nd of February saw the opening of Asia’s largest aerospace and defence exhibition, where ZOK, along with over 800 other companies from around the world, exhibited their products for all to see. ZOK was hosted on the Cee Bee stand. (Cee Bee hold stock in Singapore, and are the supply hub for the rest of Asia).Each day of the show the public and exhibitors alike were rewarded with an exhilarating aerobatic airshow, where for almost 90 minutes aircraft of all shapes and sizes were able to ‘strut their stuff’ and show the audience what they could really do.

As the end of the week arrived and it was time to go home, ZOK partners were all in agreement that the outlay to visit Singapore had been worthwhile. Information had been exchanged at all levels with new friends and colleagues within the ZOK family of distributors. It was agreed that the market for ZOK was continuing to grow in the Asia region and that ZOK products were well placed to address the increasing demand for ever more effective and environmentally reliable compressor cleaning solutions.

The next ZOK conference will be held later this year in Europe around the PowerGen exhibition in Amsterdam, Netherlands during the second week of June. Keep an eye on the ZOK website for more information and how to register for this event nearer the time.
