Europe’s leading power and energy show brings the industry together in fine style

Amsterdam June 10th, 2010 – The eighteenth POWER-GEN Europe Conference and Exhibition, situated at the RAI in Amsterdam, drew to a close in the second week of June having experienced unprecedented attendance of over 13,000 visitors across all four shows, POWER-GEN Europe, Renewable Energy World Europe, POWERGRID Europe and Nuclear Power Europe.

ZOK used this event as a catalyst to bring together the ZOK distributors from around the region for an update on all things new in the world of ZOK. On the Monday afternoon prior to the opening of the Power-Gen Exhibition the next day, ZOK held its European conference at the Park Hotel situated in the centre of Amsterdam. Keith Cartwright welcomed the ZOK representatives and then introduced Erwin Wiersum from Skyline Technologies Holland, to give an outline of his company plus to tell the assembled ZOK distributors what he was expecting to achieve from exhibiting with ZOK at the Power-Gen exhibition that week.

After an afternoon of presentations from Managing Director Keith Cartwright, Marketing Director Ruth Horton and General Manager Robert Johnson from ZOK UK, The more relaxed atmosphere of the ‘Old Queen’ an historic canal boat, allowed everyone onboard to view the many different sights that Amsterdam has to offer from the maze of Amsterdam canals. Cruising the canals everyone onboard was able to chat over a glass of wine and some good food about their challenges and successes with like minded people. Finn Hansen and Bjarne Winum from Hans Kjellerup Denmark, both commented that they had learnt a lot from the ZOK conference and evening social event, justifying the investment to join the ZOK delegation for the first time.

All the delegates were able to discuss face to face their local market conditions and share their experiences on how best to maximise the ZOK opportunities. The general concensus was that attending the ZOK conference had provided the opportunity to discuss market challenges with like minded people.

The next day as the exhibition opened its doors to the Power-Gen industry delegates, the assembled ZOK distributors from the combined stand of ZOK and Skyline were able to stand shoulder to shoulder, now fully prepared to embrace the opportunity of the many thousands of delegates that would visit the exhibition over the following three days. The participating ZOK distributors were able to leave Amsterdam later that week, in the knowledge that their time had been well spent.
